This is a boat trip through Amsterdam with the focus on “Amsterdam as a sustainable city.”This excursion in a tourist boat, lasting about 2.5 hours, will offer you a unique opportunity to familiarize yourself with various aspects of Amsterdam’s sustainability policy.

As you leisurely sail through the city, you will be able to take a close-up look at these subjects:

  • The various functions of the age-old Amsterdam city canals
  • The time-honored and modern usage of historic monuments (listed buildings, etc.)
  • Port-related economic activities in the rapidly growing Port of Amsterdam
  • The clustering of and cooperation between companies/organizations active in the area of sustainability
  • A creative approach to housing construction along the River IJ

The emerging Zuidas Project, which combines residential, retail and business functions

In short, it will be a very varied city tour, which may also include a brief visit to and guided tour of the multifunctional Zwijger building – a former warehouse that was recently renovated and converted.
